SAMSUNG Galaxy S10 – Full Review

Samsung Galaxy S10 is an excellent phone that comes with a great design. It’s not as big as newer Galaxy S phones and it is also a bit older model, but still works really great. The phone has a great chipset with enough RAM to run every task.

Galaxy S10 has an appealing design with a distinctive camera setup. There are no sharp corners, but rather nicely curved edges, which make this phone feel great in the hand. It is also not too big that you would have difficulty holding it. The back of the phone is made out of curved Gorilla Glass 5 with an aluminum frame. The front is made out of slightly stronger Gorilla Glass 6, which offers a very good protection to the phone as it is. This type of glass can withstand drops on hard and rough surfaces. However, this is true up to certain height.

The S10 features a 6.1 inch dynamic AMOLED display. It has a high 1440p resolution with a 19:9 aspect ratio. There is also support for HDR10+. The very appealing feature is curved screen, which makes the phone look very attractive. For protection, there is also Gorilla Glass 6 cornering, to prevent any cracks appearing in case you drop you phone. There is an option for Always on display, which comes in handy if you want to keep track of time and notifications without opening your phone.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 855 or alternatively by Exynos 9820. Both chipsets are appropriate for all sorts of use, even gaming. They both support true HDR gaming games built around Physically Based Rendering (PBR). GPU units are also pretty decent. You get either Adreno 640 or Mali-G76 MP12 graphic card. Both are high end graphic cards and are definitely an improvement of previous models, as they perform much better. Additionally, you get also 8 GB of RAM which is also pretty decent and makes phone appropriate for all kinds of tasks.

The phone features triple camera setup. You get 12 MP main camera, 16 MP ultrawide camera and 12 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Shot taken during the day look great. You get a lot of detail and a very capable autofocus for really sharp photos. Noise is pretty much at its minimum and colours look lively. Zoomed in photos also have a very good quality, which can compare to the quality of photos taken with main camera. Photos taken during night have a great dynamic range and look more or less good. They capture a lot of detail, however, the quality decreases when it’s too dark outside or when zooming in too deep. You can also make 4K footages at 30 fps or 60 fps. Regardless which option you choose the videos look great. They are very sharp and have a good resolution. Zooming in too deep can decrease the quality of your video.

The S10 has a lager battery than its predecessors and features a 3400 mAh non-removable battery. The phone can last almost 80 hours on a full charge and can be at 100% battery in about one hour, thanks to the fast 15W charging. It has a really cool feature of fast 15W wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging, which helps you power other devices with your phone.

Final thoughts

To conclude, Samsung Galaxy S10 is a good phone that will serve you well. It is not the newest model, but still works really good, and if we look at the price/quality ratio, we really get a lot for the money we pay. So this is definitely one of the top options out there.
